Frederick Dripps, D. D., as the one man best qualified to write the history and edit the book. Dr. Dripps was minister of the Church, the eleventh in the line of ministers, for the decade 1870 - 1880. During his ministry the main body of the present church build ing, which stands as a monument to his zeal and the generosity of the people of his day, was erected.
