Marble City is a beautiful place nestled away from the dangers and unknown of the world. For the youngest prince of this city, Terbino, this has been all he knows. His life is peaceful, simple and full of joy with lasting friendships. It isn’t until his father passes away from illness and he is named heir to the throne that his harmony is shattered. Terbino soon learns that there is much more to the world; dangers, horrors, demonic forces, and magic. Despite being masterful with a sword, he comes to realise that not everything can be solved with a blade and moreover his once strong friendships whittle away from death and betrayal. As the death toll of his allies rises with no obvious suspect, his once dedicated companions start to suspect he is behind the monstrous acts. Soon he finds himself alone, running from his kingdom, and pursued by the demons in his mind, and the bounty hunters of his realm. While fleeing from his past, he learns secrets and untold truths of his father and actions that would now spell the potential doom of Marble City. Life outside his protective home is difficult, fraught with dangers and malevolence. Strange hostile creatures roam the forests, unstoppable entities hunt in the deserts, and inhuman monstrosities dwell in caves and abandoned townships. Terbino begins to realise to survive in Sendurius Region, he must learn to adapt, be diplomatic, and accept all the help from strangers and new friendships he could get. He attempts all this while trying to understand his body’s budding needs and attractions to the opposite sex. Eventually he learns of six powerful artefacts, capable of overcoming the horrific demons haunting his mind, while also expelling the evil that has taken over his kingdom. To retrieve these artefacts, he must accept that he can no longer be the innocent prince of Marble City, but a man willing to do things that will make him question whether he is becoming the very thing he wishes to destroy. He understands what he must do, but still struggles with the fact that in time he will have to take the life of another; a task that haunts him on his journey and hinders him more than any foe. Outside of his home, he learns to accept differing cultures and norms that would make him sickened back in Marble City. He also comes to understand that while he is a force to be reckoned with while he wields a blade, he sometimes cannot save everyone he cares about, and that death and suffering can be a part of life. He struggles to reign in his wild emotions while fighting on to retrieve the artefacts. A process made all the more difficult by the demons and wraiths corrupting his thoughts, hell bent on turning him into one of their own. Friendship and support from allies, helps him overcome his fears and the evil in his mind but at the price that they are exposed to danger. Before the prince can succeed at retrieving the first artefact, he will lose loved ones, become someone unrecognisable, and confront creatures that have not been bested in millennia. The enormity of his task becomes all too clear as he encounters enemies with skill surpassing his own and deities that can never be killed. And when he manages to succeed at his first task, he will be left wondering whether the price in obtaining the object was too high… a piece of himself that he can never get back.
