The book Aksara-a forgotten chapter in the History of Indian Philosophy is an examination of the most puzzling Metaphysical term of the Gita viz. aksara. The history of aksara-purusha conceptions covers a very long period of Metaphysical thought begining with the age of the Earlier Metrical Upanishads.
