His family fled the Nazis in 1939 and came to Ireland where he became interested in Medieval Ireland. The essays contain information about both the Irish saints and the non-Irish saints (somewhat less known on average). The editor points out that Hennig contributed much knowledge on the subject of the scholarly and religious importance of Ireland to the Roman church.. Reprint. Cloth.
