Volume 2 continues the story begun in 1905 when Alley and MacLellan first built the famous 'Sentinel' steam wagons in Glasgow. From 1930 production gathered momentum in the development of Garner and HSG lorries, rail locomotives and railcars, and in wartime with the manufacture of machine tools , shells, the Bren gun and Lloyd carriers. Profusely illustrated b/w photographs and diagrams. Perfectly clean and sound throughout. Black boards and bright gilt. Signed by father and son authors. Hint of fading to jacket.
