The book has been mis-bound: -- the rear paste down has a triangular piece at the top, closest to the spine, which is open and underlying boards can be seen. There is a small stain to the rear top paste down, endpaper and following page, again closest to the spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing subject of book in circa 1920, blue background with yellow writing on front panel and spine. The corners of the dustwrapper are little chipped and rubbed. Creasing on both the top and bottom edges of the dustwrapper. Many Brennan left Gippsland at the age of 16 and she went to the goldfields of outback Western Australia in 1911, and, in 1916, to London. This is her story. This is the first Australian edition.
