First edition. Stapled wrappers. Touch of wear, else fine. Inscribed: "for Elbert Lenrow Best wishes & Fond memories Allen Ginsberg 1979 now teaching at Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poets." Lenrow was a professor at the New School who became friends with Jack Kerouac while he was still a student. Kerouac in turn introduced him to Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassidy, who would often gather at Lenrow's Central Park West apartment for informal discussions about life and literature. He later penned a book about his friendship with Kerouac and remained in contact with Ginsberg until Lenrow's death in 1993. A nice association.
