The colophon page states that numbers 1-50 are signed by the artist & contain two original prints. This copy is one of the 50, & contains the TWO SIGNED ORIGINAL PRINTS. Signed by the artist in black ink on limitation page, as called for, & dated "8.6.82". Additionally signed in full in black ink on half-title page by all three: preface author "Patrick McCaughey", + artist "Best wishes Eric Thake", + author "And Elizabeth Summons, June 8th, 1982". This copy also contains the TWO SIGNED ORIGINAL PRINTS in rear pocket, as issued, both signed in full & dated "1962" by the artist. They are each numbered "o/s" (out of series) & titled individually in pencil. The first is titled "Wild Flower" & the second is titled "Reg Lindsay at Broken Hill". Neither of these original b&w prints appear as a reproduction in the book. The volume itself contains 28 full-page b&w photographs, plus tipped-in b&w frontispiece. Each respective photograph has corresponding text printed on opposing page. Preface by art historian Patrick McCaughey, Director, National Gallery of Victoria. With 7 pages of introductory text by Elizabeth Summons. Eric Thake (1904-1982), Australian artist, photographer, born in Auburn, Victoria. Bound in original black buckram boards with bright gilt lettering to front, black leather spine with bright gilt lettering, black endpapers, in publisher's unclipped b&w pictorial dustjacket. A bare trace of shelfwear, otherwise a very nice clean tight solid hardcover copy.
