This book was developed for students, residents, practitioners and nurses who care for children, to aid them in diagnosing pediatric disorders through inspection of the patient or review of simple lab tests. Our goal is to broaden the visual experience of the clinician. This Atlas is by no means encyclopedic but rather presents an overview of problems that lend themselves to visual diagnosis. The accompanying text deliberately emphasizes pertinent historical factors, visual findings and techniques of examination and diagnostic methods, rather than therapy. We have also attempted to select disorders that are common and/or important and where relevant, to describe the spectrum of clinical findings.
