This story is a tribute to our father. Most of the events recored happened before we, his two youngest children , were born. He had a wealth of stories to tell and they coloured our childhood. Our older sister, NOra, who features in the section devoted to the First World War, sadly died at the age of 35, thus ending a promising career as a local trade union officer for the transport and General Workers Union. Both our parents were prolific letter writers and father seemed to have derived a great deal of pleasure from writing. He copied out poems he liked, wrote his impressions of events and his feelings about them as they happened. Writing and receiving letters played an important part in his life and many of these were kept, so helping us to tell his story. Paperback, Label: MALAGO SOCIETY, MALAGO SOCIETY, Product group: Book, Published: 1984, Studio: MALAGO SOCIETY.
