"The Dragon's Tail" was first issued by Illuminet Press of Ga, USA in 2000, but due to the decease of the publisher, the run was very short. The book was republished by Black Rabbit Press of West Sussex, UK in 2010 using virtually the same cover. It concerns the repetitive passage of a cosmic object close to Earth which occurs every 892 years. The next passage will be in 2115, heralding the demise of civilisation as we know it. Many historical examples of the chaos caused are given using eyewitness accounts, some of which were published in 2000 for the first time. Many charts and tables are provided. A critic said that this book was written with "relentless precision". Only one of the two authors, Mr Austin, is still alive.
