The interviews are arranged by age from youngest age at diagnosis to oldest. At the beginning of each is a synopsis of the woman's story, which includes available details of her medical history, and some of the topics she has talked about in her interview. At the end of the book are a glossary and list of reading materials and resources based on the suggestions and experiences of the women interviewed. Both the author's and publisher's proceeds are going to breast cancer research.
