In this novel the main character is a young woman, named Atash ( meaning Fire in Persian), major events happening in Iran in the period of the Islamic revolution 1979, the war between Iran and Iraq (1980-1988) . The story tracks her life through unknown destiny from 15 years old to marriage, fighting for her rights in up and down of life, facing injustices between men and women. Arezo, her sister, is her only moral supporter. Her irresistible friend, Death, comes to visit her many times. However, each time, miraculously she survives and becomes dedicated to sharing the fire inside her with others, because she believes the ignorance does not vanish easily, it takes many victims to eradicate this major obstacle in the struggle for women's rights in Iran. The main character of this book is not the first victim, and by no means, be the last. Most certainly, only wisdom, awareness and experience can cause a disturbance in the sleepy minds of women in Iran and cause them to move. It is satisfying for the author of this novel to open up a small window into these tragedies that exist in this ancient land. . She believes that in Iran, the country she has born, raised and now left, there are many deficiencies in women's rights. By shedding light on this injustice through this story, it is hoped that the rest of the world will begin to request change.
