Most of his life's work has been in Manitoba - the Glenboro area - with a spell in Rocky Mountain House (Alberta) and a longer one in Hawera New Zealand. His practice was mostly large animals - cows horses, pigs, - in that order. But you'll find a bit on a owl. You'll see taht it wasn't all science and nmedicine ; there were moments of awe and reflection. Illustrated by a few b/w drawings, done by the author. Cond : Paper wrapper is light blue with yellow lettering. front cover photo features one jersey, and three or more, Herefords. Light wear at edges and corners. Store stamp on title page. Author has signed and dedicated the title page as well. Colours bright, binding tight. No marks in text. Excellent reading copy. Quote (p. 69) : " At the request of the insurance company, I visited the farm with the mounting deaths, and was greeted by an anxious owner. Despite prompt financial compensation by the insurance people, his satisfaction was waning fast as his losses climbed. We immediately drove to a remote pasture ._._._. ." Size: 8vo.
