When you used, in your letter of October 29, the words, By the tenour of this Statute it appears to be my duty, under pain of expulsion, to delate to you the Reverend Doctor Renn Dickson Hampden fete, I understood you to be stating an obligation of duty, under the pain of expulsion, as your motive for such delation; and when you subsequently used the words, I beg most respectfully, but firmly, to have it clearly understood, to be my demand that the case should be considered by .
