In doing so, I would have every purchaser remember, that by reason of the onerous duties and responsibilities of my daily profession - requiring a great amount of thought, and giving a great amount of care - I have not even 'dressed' these castings, much less machined or fitted them properly together; consequently, they go forth a "rough job," "just out of the sand," and require, I fear, to be put into the "vice,' and touched up, with the "smooth file."
