My sister and I called it ´´Adventure Lane.´´ In this pleasant house lived my maternal grandfather and grandmother, and for the first few years of our lives we lived there with them. My sister was two years younger than I. We were inseparable - we played the same games, adored books, and made up splendid adventures, in which the duck pond was a wide ocean on which we sailed little ships of paper, and the rick yard with its golden hay and straw stacks, a land of rich treasure.
