His chief works include the 'four Seasons' at Dresden, statues of Schiller at Vienna, of Maximilian at Trieste, the War Memorial at Hamburg, and the German National Monument on the Niederwald, opposite Bingen on the Rhine, which bears a colossal figure of Germania.
