Lori's life story is in Please, God, Not Two after Alberta lost her first husband, Richard Lopes, from North Dighton, Massachusetts from his addiction. His story is in Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round. Alberta loves to visit the halfway homes, court-ordered programs, rehabilitation centers and talk to the public on any issue with addiction and writing.
