ATP 3-20.16 outlines the framework in which mobile gun system platoons operate, either alone or together as part of the combined arms company team. ATP 3-20.16 also includes discussions of doctrine applicable to all mobile gun system platoons. This publication applies to the Active Army, Army National Guard (ARNG)/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) unless otherwise stated. The principal audience for ATP 3-57.30 is the Army Civil Affairs force, officers, and noncommissioned officers who support joint and Army forces or serve on the staffs that support those commanders of operations at all levels of war.
