Weiterhin wird auf dieser Basis auch ein Ausblick auf mögliche Entwicklungen des Tourismus auf Mallorca in der Zukunft gegeben. Das Reisen, auch weit über den eigenen Kontinent hinaus, ist für den modernen Menschen heute selbstverständlich geworden. Neben den Industrieländern geht auch die Bevölkerung von Schwellenländern zunehmend auf Reisen, sodass der Tourismus heutzutage den Großteil der Länder weltweit tangiert. Dies eröffnet auf der einen Seite viele Möglichkeiten der Wertschöpfung und stellt Chancen beispielweise durch die Schaffung neuer Arbeitsplätze dar, allerdings bringt es auch negative Aspekte mit sich, welche unter anderem in der folgenden Arbeit thematisiert werden. Besonders seit dem Jahr 2016 herrscht in vielen touristischen Reisezielen, wie etwa Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Venedig und Dubrovnik, eine sinkende Tourismusakzeptanz und infolgedessen finden vermehrt Proteste gegen die Touristen statt. Viele Destinationen sehen sich infolge der Kritik in der Pflicht, einen nachhaltigen Tourismus einzuleiten und zu fördern, der gleichzeitig dazu beiträgt, wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben. Ein Beispiel für den Versuch einer solchen Neustrukturierung in Richtung nachhaltigen Tourismus ist die Baleareninsel Mallorca.

Moreover, the author gives an overview of the distribution of child labour in the world and in different sectors and shows two examples for child labour in Asia. According to a statement of the United Nations Organization, 218 million children around the world between 5 and 17 years are employed as full-time workers, often under hazardous and dangerous working conditions. This fact shows the importance of combating child labour.
