Die Bibliothek des Frankfurter Stadtadvokaten Heinrich Kellner (1536-1589) (1589)
DE NW
ISBN: 9783465033851 bzw. 346503385X, in Deutsch, Klostermann, Vittorio, neu.
The Frankfurt town syndic and advocate Heinrich Kellner (1536–1589) came from a Frankfurt patrician family and was awarded a doctorate of both laws in Ferrara in 1563. Like other wealthy citizens of his hometown, he owned an extensive library about which little was known until now. The aim of this study is to reconstruct and arrange the formerly important library of Heinrich Kellner, a lawyer educated in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy, with its printed books, art books, manuscripts and manuscripts. It also contributes to the reconstruction of the 'Bibliotheca Jungiana', one of the most important private collections of the 17th century, property of Kellner's grandson Johann Maximilian Zum Jungen (1596–1649). Michaela Schedl, 20.9 x 12.8 x 1.3 cm, Buch.
