Vol. 1 - 547 pp.; Vol. 2 - 341 pp. This SCARCE 2 volume set is the Arabic translation of the Lost Greek Original in the version of the Banu Musa. As part of the "Sources in the History of Mathematics and Physical Sciences 9" series, this has the complete index, at the end of Volume 2, and is unique in that every other page is in Arabic, while it's facing page is the English equivalent. The books were apparently around water, as every page of both volumes has a "waviness", as a result. This is, of course, not optimal, BUT there is NO STAINING, and the pages are fully readable for this RARE set. Priced accordingly. The boards are nicely plasticized (as by the publisher), and so show no effects of the water at all, and present very well, albeit with light soiling. Unmarked inside, except for a prior owner's bookplate just inside the front board of each. Photos upon request. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
