THE AUTHOR: Archimandrite Gregorios was born on the Greek island of Mytilene in 1936, and studied theology at the Universities of Athens and Strasbourg. He was tonsured a monk and ordained a priest in 1966 since when he has lived on Mount Athos. The author of many books and articles, he is also a spiritual confessor.
