Even though she would never admit it to herself. She barely tolerates the constant nattering at meetings but the outings really get her knickers in a knot. Is it that Alma is just an unpleasant person that cannot be satisfied? I don't think so. I think deep down she craves the companionship and hides her own insecurities behind sarcastic remarks. Alma also thinks that she prefers being alone, by herself. In Stupid Fishes Alma has an experience that challenges this belief and she has to draw some strength to deal with the unforeseen. Will she really be able to cope if she has just herself to rely on?
