It was presented as a trial. In a supposed to be tribunal. That lacked any substantial legal basis. From the "beginning" to the "end" there hasn't been any essential legal principle that wasn't violated. The inelegant structure of the ICTY Statute left no doubt for that; ambiguous categories of crimes, heavy loaded each one of them with numerous counts, some of which were double listed, plus the creation of a fourth category crimes, that of genocide, not only brought the international legal culture far away from the Nuremberg era, but drove the universal values many centuries behind. In addition, the existence of three separate indictments against the defendant (Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina) drafted by the Prosecutors who were guided step by step by the American lawyers who shaped that Statute, about the massive complexity and the abrupt issuing of these indictments, presignified an easy and fast conviction of Slobodan Milosevic. But the defendant had different plans. The denial of Slobodan Milosevic, in the very beginning of this fraudulent procedure, of the legitimacy of this tribunal, blew up the whole case in the air. Prosecutors, judges, lawyers who contributed in anyway to the "operation" of that "court", unveiled their masks while it was revealed openly the initial purpose for which that "court" existed; to justify in the eyes of the public a murderous and dastard attack that was carried out by american forces under the veil of NATO's strategic alliance.
